ABOUT ZEN

Although my given name is Mackenzie, I have been going by 'Zen' since elementary school--how I got the nickname, I couldn't say, it started within the family and grew from there--during a time when pubescent me was anything but Zenful.

Speaking in terms of The Way of Zen, peace love and acceptance, and never in third-person, I try to bring the Zen-ness into the daily, mundane and life-changing.

I have been cooking strong for over two decades, with the love of my life for over a decade, a happy wife for three years and thrilled mother for over seven months.
